Old Building
There's a great old building just coming out of Northwest Portland, it is probably an old railroad station or power plant. It is just exquisite. So cool. Should be turned into a restaurant, office, or whatever. I need to get down there and take pictures of it, it's just too cool. listen

Old Bridge
There's a bridge - part of old highway 30, I suspect. Just out of Scappoose on the west side of the highway and I think it is right near Cornelius Pass Road. Covered with ivy and moss. I need to get down and take photographs of this! listen

The Old Town Cafe
A friend recommended the Old Town Cafe in Scappoose as a place to hang out with Wi-Fi. They have a great atmosphere if they're just more friendly. The deco is great. the light jazz is peaceful, and the food and drink selection is great. [...]. listen
However, after two visits, I don't think I'll be returning. There is more than a little something missing. The atmosphere and general gestalt are just harsh. There seemed to be a lack of friendliness in the staff and owner.
Indeed, I walked in talking on my phone, but while I was getting my laptop setup, the owner sort of pushed her way past me to retrieve a power strip that had been there since my last visit. The cashier scowled at my request for soy milk - and seemed to skimp on the amount.
Although they offer free wi-fi, I was the only one computing. In fact, I had the general impression that they'd prefer I not take up space (which was abundant).
I'm looking for a place to call home. A place to conduct meetings, a place to meet with people, a place to connect with the community, a place to eat meals, and place where I can be a part of the family.
I probably brought in several new customers to my former hangout. Does anyone want my business?

I have been craving this!
I have been craving an opportunity to put my gift of ideation in the place and it feels like I have found it here connecting with the bloggers and the people involved with the [Portland] on Fire it's just so awesome. I created a new blog. I haven't grasped everything yet, but there is just something up in here that I just can't quite wrap my mind around yet.... listen
